Our Sixth Form students recently had the opportunity to prepare for higher education and employment opportunities after they leave us.
Mock Interviews
Members of the Trinity community, including parents and alumni, generously gave up time to hold mock interviews for both university and apprenticeships with our Upper Sixth students.
This is an invaluable experience for our students as they have the opportunity to practise their interview technique and meet real employers in a safe environment, before embarking on the real thing. Interview performance is often the crucial factor in securing an offer, so we are very grateful to the mock interviewers for helping the group improve their confidence.
L6 Medics, Dentists and Vets Presentation Evening
Our aspiring medics, dentists and vets in Lower Sixth recently took part in a presentation competition, judged by Ms Catherine Palmer, a Trinity parent and dentist. This competition forms part of the MDV Society programme, designed to help prepare students for the taxing process of application to medical, dental or vet school.
The overall standard was very high, with Imogen Harris winning with her engaging explanation of the use of prosthetics in the treatment of dogs. Matthew West came second with his exploration of anti-NDMA encephalitis, and Eliott Richards was highly commended for his talk on the potential for publication bias in industry trials.
Thanks to all the participants for a very enjoyable evening!
