Second year students recently represented Trinity at the South London heat of the Kids’ Lit Quiz in Wimbledon.

Out of 88 teams (44 schools) the Trinity teams did well and came 31st and 11th. The boys practised hard and had a great day. There were many difficult rounds in the the competition which ran for over four hours.

The Kids’ Lit Quiz is an annual literature quiz for students aged 10 – 13 years. Quizzes are held in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, United Kingdom and USA.

Student Finn Evans said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the tense excitement of racking my brain for the answer quickly, before the next question came. One of the hardest moments was when we struggled on the My Little Pony question, but eventually one of my teammates got it! We were really pleased with ourselves afterwards, having done a lot better than we expected. I hope that answer moved us up a spot!” Whilst Max Virley said: “I really enjoyed participating in the Kids Lit Quiz 2019. The competition was challenging and both of our teams tried their hardest. All in all both teams did well in the competition and had a great time.”

The teams were made up of;
2R (11th) – Simeon Wren, Finn Evans, Tom Shaxson & Iggy Gill-Ces
2K (31st) – Jared Thompson, Taisei Masumoto, Ansh Shetty & Max Virley

Congratulations to both teams!
