Through our partnership with Crystal Palace FC current Crystal Palace striker, Jason Puncheon, came to watch our U15s training and worked with our Lower School Football Club last week.
After observing our talented players, Puncheon answered questions from group. They asked about his experiences as a youngster growing up in Croydon trying to make it as a professional footballer, and what day to day life is like at the top level (for anyone looking for tips, it’s worth noting he mentioned he has not had fast food in over 5 years…!)
David Kingston, Head of Football, said: “Thank you to Jason for popping in and to Crystal Palace for helping to organise the afternoon. It was an fantastic insight for the boys looking to break into academies and an interesting look at the commitment and sacrifice involved in order to make it at the highest level”.
