Kevin Hayes from the Constant Change Company recently delivered a workshop on personal safety with our First Year students.
In the interactive workshop, the students had the opportunity to discuss personal safety, to raise their concerns, and to think of ideas and solutions for certain scenarios where their personal safety might be threatened.
They discussed their safety from a wide variety of angles from public transport to online safety.
Otto Nicholls said: “I learnt how to keep myself safe from gangs and criminals in real life and on the internet. Kevin’s workshop was also fun and entertaining.”
Arin Ghosh added: “It was a really interesting workshop, where I learnt all about how you can avoid getting into dangerous situations by using his useful tips”
Thabo Ncube said: “I enjoyed the workshop with Kevin because he taught us about personal safety and our online risks.”
