A recent Fourth Year GCSE Drama Q&A session involved a Zoom meeting with the writers of The Incident Room.

Olivia Hurst and David Byrne were pleased to take part in the online session, where students asked questions about the devising and rehearsal processes.

The group also discussed how to direct, as well as the challenges that come with creating a play based on real events and characters based on real people.

The production ran at the New Diorama Theatre last month and our students were lucky enough to see it before lockdown began.

Lucy Robinson, Head of Academic Drama, said: “It was a fantastic start to remote learning for the students, who will now input their developed understanding of the play into their essays about the production and live theatre more generally”.
