Every pupil at Trinity has the opportunity to represent their school, to experience the exhilaration of a hard fought victory, and the heartbreak of a narrow loss.

Through co-curricular sport our students learn how to be resilient, how to persevere when the odds are against them and how to show humility when the game is won. Whatever their aptitude or ability, students can achieve something worthwhile in sport.

We are proud of our success with our competitive teams, as well as the large number of our students that represent their county, region and country.  In recent years, 30 students have represented their country and over 75 have represented their county across rugby, hockey, water polo, athletics and cricket.  We have over 170 teams playing over 1,000 fixtures each year, where over 700 of our students have the chance to play against some of the toughest schools in the country.

Our expert coaching staff, of which 13 have represented their country in their sport, guide those who show promise.  We also work with students who show they could potentially make a career out of sport through our High Performance Programme.

Our excellent facilities, including extensive sports fields, 2 astros, 2 sports halls, a swimming pool, 10 tennis courts, 4 squash courts, a climbing wall, a shooting range, a health and fitness suite, a strength and conditioning suite, and our fields at Sandilands, mean that we can offer a wide range of activities and opportunities for all.

What is just as important to us is the high levels of participation we see across all sports.  Alongside rugby, hockey and netball, our main sports in the autumn and summer months, we also run clubs for football, water polo, swimming, indoor hockey, rugby sevens, squash, golf, basketball, badminton, table tennis, climbing, sailing, fencing, scuba diving, softball, horse riding and archery.
