Candidates must be over the age of 10 but be under 11 on 1st September of year of entry.
At 10+, 11+ or 13+ Pretest and 13+ there is a combination of computer-based, and written testing. Computer-based testing will consist of a General Assessment (60 minutes) and Creative Comprehension and Problem Solving (35 minutes).
General Assessment (60 minutes):
- Mathematics (20 minutes)
- English (20 minutes)
- Verbal Reasoning (10 minutes)
- Non-Verbal Reasoning (10 minutes)
Creative Comprehension and Problem Solving (35 minutes):
- Creative comprehension (20 minutes)
- Puzzles and Problem-Solving (15 minutes)
The computer-based sections will be mainly multiple choice and WILL NOT require typing or keyboard skills.
Written testing will cover the following:
- English Creative Writing – (30 minutes)
- Maths Problem Solving – (30 minutes)

If your son is successful in our entrance examinations, he will be invited to attend an interview with a member of our teaching staff. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know your son better and will take place shortly after the entrance examination. You will be notified by our admissions team when a date has been set. The conversation focuses on your son’s strengths at school, his interests, and any weaknesses which might have emerged in their examination papers.
