From taking a dive into the ocean to see coral reefs close up with virtual reality goggles,  to exploring topography using our augmented reality sandbox, in Geography we bring the outside inside in ways that inspire and challenge our students.

Our aim is to exceed our students’ expectations of what Geography is and means; whether we are attempting to find solutions to the global development gap, or pioneering new ways to improve water security, there is something to capture the interest of all.

In its very nature Geography is a multidisciplinary affair.  Straddling both the arts and sciences it allows, encourages and needs all our students to participate fully.

We take this outside the classroom during field trips (either day or residential), ranging from orienteering in Lloyd Park round the corner, to exploring the jungle and coral reefs of Borneo.  Local schools join us every year for the Geographical Association’s World Wise Quiz, and our students regularly attend lectures at the Royal Geographical Society or enter the Young Geographer of the Year competition.
