Winter comes early to the Berwyns
During half term four U6 boys, Jonathan Cannon, Jonathan Mayhew, James Price, John-Luke Wilkinson and Laura Pennells from Croydon High School undertook their Gold D of E practice expedition in the Berwyn Mountains of Powys, Mid Wales. The Berwyns are in a particularly remote part of Wales and after heavy snowfall they were especially bleak. On the first day our intrepid team tramped through a blizzard, on the second through snow a foot deep, and they then endured sub-zero temperatures and further heavy snow over their last night. Croydon has never seemed so inviting!
