Pictured are the four 5th Year boys who have teamed together to become the current leaders of the Student Investor Challenge. The competition, which has over 7,000 entrants from across the country, began on 1 November when all teams were allocated a virtual £100,000 with which to trade on the stock market. Top Up Team, comprising George Webb, Fangzou Xu, Joshua Meyer and Krishan Sareen won the December prize for the largest increase in portfolio value and are currently top of the league by a large margin: at the time of writing their portfolio is worth £192,347 - they have almost doubled their money in just two months! The team in second position has just over £160,000.
The boys’ phenomenal achievement has led to them being interviewed and photographed by the Mail on Sunday; the article will be in the financial section of the paper on 16 January.
