Record Breaking Results
The summer brought excellent news for boys receiving public examination results. The Upper Sixth performed outstandingly well to achieve just under 84% A and B grades meaning that, for two years running, the School has reached well above 80%. While not quite as strong as last year's record breaking 86%, these are still some way above the School's previous best results (76%), and Headmaster Mark Bishop is delighted to see such consistently high standards being maintained.
Well over half the year group achieved at least 2 A grades with almost a third of all students gaining 3 A's or better. The A-C rate was 97.2%. Particular congratulations go to Jon Akinluyi who achieved an excellent 5 A grades.
At AS Level, the Lower Sixth produced a very encouraging set of grades producing the best results the school has ever had and significantly better than the comparable results last year. Some 42 students achieved 3 A grades with 25 gaining 4 A grades. Particular congratulations go to Nilesh Patel who achieved 5As and Leon Li who amassed a superb 6 A grades.
The good news continued at GCSE where the 5th Form achieved the highest ever A* rate. Every boy was awarded at least 5 A*-C passes and, among the individual successes, Dmytro Lozinskyy with an exceptional 12 A*s deserves special mention, as do Joel Williams, Alex Cutbill and Aidan Devane who each scored 11 A*s.
