The Examinations section of the school's website includes important information relevant to GCSE, IGCSE and A level qualifications. On these pages you will find information about the rules and regulations laid down by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) that governs the awarding bodies, what you should do if your son or daughter requires special arrangements for his or her examinations or if he or she is ill during his exams, exam fees, course codes, timetables for forthcoming exams, results' days and appeals. This information will help you to support and encourage your son or daughter throughout his or her examinations and, once read, can be referred to throughout the examination periods.
In the event the school is closed during adverse weather conditions or other emergency and providing it is safe to do so, Trinity School will open for public examinations only with a skeleton staff to include the Examinations Officer.
Information, updates and plans regarding public examinations during disruptions to normal school days will be posted on the ‘Examinations’ page of the school’s website providing internet access is available to upload the information.
Students living locally and those who are able to complete their journey to school safely can sit their examinations as planned.
The school reserves the right to adjust the start and finish times of examinations by half an hour.
Students must advise the school immediately if they are unable to attend an examination by emailing the Examinations Officer:
Please note, awarding bodies do not offer refunds to candidates unable to attend for their examinations even during extreme weather conditions.
Candidates may take their examinations in a later session e.g. the summer, but entry fees for later sessions will be charged by the awarding bodies.
